ADMISSIONS 2024: South Asian University Announces New Programmes
South Asian University, an international institution established by the governments of the eight member states of the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC), including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, is now accepting applications for its Master’s and PhD level programmes. Situated on its own expansive 100-acre campus at Maidan Garhi, the university aims to foster a South Asian consciousness.
The university offers programmes in various disciplines, including Biotechnology, Computer Science, Economics, International Relations, Legal Studies, Mathematics, and Sociology. Degrees earned from SAU are recognized by all eight SAARC countries, and admissions are not limited to students from SAARC countries alone.
Prospective students can apply for multiple programmes, provided they meet the eligibility criteria and ensure that the timings for Entrance Tests do not overlap. Separate applications are required for each programme.
Certain PhD candidates will be invited directly for interviews, exempting them from the Entrance Test. However, they have the option to take the Entrance Test if they wish, in addition to applying through the Direct Mode. Separate applications are necessary for each admission mode.
Beginning this year, SAU announces admissions to new programmes in the Department of Computer Science, including B.Tech., Dual Degree (B.Tech.+M.Tech.), M.Tech., and Integrated (M.Sc.+M.Tech.).
All programmes at SAU are full-time, with classes conducted offline.
The deadline for applications is 31st March 2024 (23:59 IST), and the Entrance Test will take place on 20 & 21 April 2024.
